RSVP Reader
These Terms of Service set out the basic rules between you and the service provider when you use the RSVP Reader app, web version, or related services. By using the app, you are deemed to accept these terms.
1. Description of the Service
RSVP Reader is an app designed to provide a speed-reading experience. It may include text pasting, document upload, library management, reading progress tracking, local reminders, ad-supported free usage, premium subscription features, and optional AI-based section detection.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
Downloading, installing, opening, or using the app means that you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, you should not use the app.
3. Acceptable Use
- You may use the app only for lawful and legitimate purposes.
- You must not upload, paste, or process content that infringes copyright, privacy, or other third-party rights.
- You may not interfere with the service, reverse engineer it, copy it, damage it, or otherwise disrupt how the app works.
- You are responsible for evaluating the risks before sending confidential, sensitive, or special-category data to AI features.
4. Accounts and Access
RSVP Reader is generally available without an account. However, premium features, purchase validation, or restoration flows may be handled through third-party infrastructure such as Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat.
5. Free and Premium Features
- Some app features may be offered free of charge.
- Some features may be unlocked through premium subscriptions, trials, or watching ads.
- Feature scope, pricing, trial periods, and premium limits may change over time.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
- In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by the relevant app store or payment provider.
- Pricing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and taxes are subject to the policies of Apple, Google, or the relevant payment provider.
- Any trial or price information shown inside the app should be considered together with the actual product configuration in the store.
- To cancel or manage a subscription, you may need to use the account settings of the store where the purchase was made.
7. Ads and Rewarded Content
Ads may be shown in the free version. Some features may become available temporarily or for a limited duration after an ad is watched. Ad delivery is subject to the technical requirements and policies of the ad provider.
8. AI Features
The AI-based section detection feature is optional. If you use it, all or part of the selected text may be sent to third-party AI providers. AI output may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your expectations. We do not guarantee against errors, omissions, or incorrect segmentation produced by AI.
Important: You should be careful before sending sensitive, confidential, special-category, or trade-secret content to AI features. All responsibility for that use belongs to you.
9. User Content
You represent that you own the rights to the content you upload, paste, or retrieve via URLs, or that you otherwise have sufficient permission to use it. You remain responsible for any legal consequences arising from your content.
10. Intellectual Property
The software, design, interface, brands, logos, and other elements of the app belong to the service provider or the relevant rights holders. Unless expressly stated otherwise, no ownership or license transfer is granted to you.
11. App Store Terms
RSVP Reader may be distributed through platforms such as Apple App Store and Google Play. In that case, your use of the app is also subject to the platform's own terms, license conditions, and policies. On Apple devices, Apple's standard end-user license terms may also apply unless stated otherwise.
12. Changes to the Service and Termination
The service provider may change, limit, suspend temporarily, or remove any part of the app with or without prior notice. Access may be restricted in cases of malicious, unlawful, or term-violating use.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." No express or implied warranty is given regarding uninterrupted operation, absence of errors, full accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or flawless performance on every device.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service provider is not liable for indirect damages, data loss, loss of profit, business interruption, content loss, incorrect AI output, purchase disputes, or issues arising from third-party services.
15. Privacy
The separately published Privacy Policy applies to how your personal data and app data are processed.
16. Governing Law
These terms may be governed by the law of the country where the service provider is based, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules. Applicable law and competent authority may vary depending on local mandatory regulations.
17. Updates
These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app may mean that you accept the updated terms.
